St. Stephen's:Ya *h**a Tu M** C****

This time I had a chance to visit Stephen's. I felt very much like the first day: A strange place filled with people carrying pseudo eliteness. Anyways, my brother was with me and I showed him around, JCR, Mukwest (U-9), Main corridore and Science Bloc etc. I even walked passed Renee, Johri, Frank but fortunately none of them recognized me. Anyways the college didnt have the same feeling... I think I would have felt a bit nostalgic if I was with friends.....Ode to Aroop, Mrinal, Anurag, Atul, Partho, Rahul and Sumit.....
The picture is of the main corridor...

November 26: A new beginning with heavy heart

Today, Nitish Kumar was sworned in as CM of Bihar for second term after an unexpected landslide victory in general election. I wish him all the best and hope he carries on with the good work. I am very proud to say that Bihar has moved past the caste politics instilled by Lalu clan. They have provided an example and reaffirmed the fact that work speaks for itself. The time of talking is gone. This is just the beginning and I am sure in years to come Mr. Nitish Kumar will do all he can to regain the pride we lost during Lalu Raj. This victory has given immense power to Mr. Nitish Kumar and hope he uses it with proper sensibility coz according to someone power corrupts everyone.

Today is the second anniversary of the Mumbai terrorist sttack. My heart goes out for all those who lost their loved ones. Their courage is an inspiration for rest of us to strive for the best. What is very depressing is to know that government, instead of living upto the expectation of victims family and providing them with all the support and help, has been busy getting involved in "lakhon karor"" scam. Forget government, I wouldnt expect anything less from them, but has happened to all big industrialists those who have money to run multimillin dollar cricket franchise but not a least bit of sensibility to spend few lakhs for rehabilitation of the terror attack victims. I remember, during school days, we used to collect money for earthquake victims etc. Are we still doing it??? I hope things get better.

Anyways, I will leave you with a picture of the sunset at Vote Counting Center of Muzaffarpur after Nitish Kumar's victory.

Bihar Election and Muzaffarpur

This being my first post, what could be better than talking a bit about the pulsating Bihar election. Since my visit, I have been in the mix of endless discussion on politics and development in Bihar. However, things have changed alot in past three to four years. Now people are talking more about the development of Bihar, good education, proper administration. And this change in mindset has been possibly only due to the good governance of Nitish Kumar. His work speaks for itself. He has provided employment to the youth of Bihar (most of them are quite frustrated with burden of reservation), made sure that schools and colleges run diligently, roads and availability of electricity in interiors of villages have made farmers and kid's life much more easier. My village "Dubiahi" which didnt have electricity in past 10 years despite being very close to a city, has now regular supply of electricity. People can access internet and stay in touch with their loved onces through mobile phones even in the rural parts of India. This is what we call development and walking with the world. Even though there is alot to be done, I am sure the results of exit polls will translate into real victory for Nitish Kumar. Now in this term, I would suggest Mr. Nitish Kumar to keep working on building infrastructure and administration along with continuous effort towards enfluencing youth to acquire proper education. Building a good infrastructure and administration will give boost to the idea of establishment of industries and investments. We will get to hear the results on 24th of this month.

Will leave with a picture of sunrise which took the day after the last phase of elections in Bihar.
